pioneering exploits of Richard Pearce (before the Wright Brothers)
to the advent of deer farming by helicopter in the 1970s. Included
are comments by those who took part in or witnessed the first flying
schools, the first trans-Tasman crossings, the first civil airlines,
building military and civilian aircraft and developing aerial mapping
and aerial topdressing in the 1940s.
